Hey guys! So, I think I am just going to ignore my absence on the blog as of lately, as should you. Let's just move past it, deal? :)

Last week was Labor Day, and Matt and I had NO real plans. I wanted to go to the beach, but of course, everyone would be going to the beach, so I scrapped that plan. But we obviously did not want to just stay home all day. Then Matt had a brilliant idea... hey, let's go to Palm Springs! Uhm, yes. We were both off that Monday and Tuesday, so we made a little getaway of it. And it was the best decision we ever made.

We stayed at The Saguaro hotel. Seriously, if you ever go to Palm Springs, STAY HERE. It is amazing in every way (especially if you love bright, fun colors). We honestly could not have timed this ANY better either. We went on Monday, actual Labor Day, which was the day everyone was leaving to go back to work the next day. So it was EMPTY. We basically had the pool to ourselves every day. But the donut floaty and striped blow up ball kept us plenty company. It was pure bliss. Plus it is super close to everything, and they have cute bikes you can use for free! We will definitely be staying here any time we come back to Palm Springs.

Part two: I know you've all seen it. The beautiful pink door on the magnificent house in Palm Springs. If you follow any fashion blogger, then you've seen this door. If you haven't though, please admire and be in awe with me. I thought it was the perfect backdrop for this outfit post. Also, if anyone else, like me, has asked, "What is the address of the pink door in Palm Springs?" (to yourself or Google), the beauty is on East Sierra Way, Palm Springs, CA.
And onto the outfit... This dress was perfect for the outrageously hot weather. It is super light and airy, and I love the different thickness of the stripes. Also, I am in love with these flats. I am sure you've seen these a lot, the TopShop ones are quite popular. Fortunately, I found these at a Forever 21 store for about half the price. UNfortunately, I don't see them online. :( So I have tagged some similar ones.
Anyways, this was one of the best small trips we've taken in awhile. If you ever have a chance to visit Palm Springs, do it. So much fun and so much to see there. (ps. Eat at Bill's Pizza. One of the best pizzas EVER.) We are going to make this an annual trip to Palm Springs, it was AMAZING.
